Safety consultant services

In many cases an owner wants to ensure that its General Contractor has a developed, written safety program (Health and Safety Program or HASP) that acts as a guide for the safety activities of the General Contractor and its subcontractors.  SHG provides a review of these documents to ensure that the HASP contains sufficient and appropriate rules for the safe operation of the project.

 

Train contractors on proper safety methods (OSHA 10 hour and OSHA 30 hour)

We provide OSHA instruction at contractor site or our training rooms to help contractors comply with recently released NYC regulations that all construction workers be qualified of 30 hour OSHA certificates. We also provide training for flag persons for traffic control, and pedestrian control next to construction sites.

 

Help prepare M/WBE contractors to qualify for bonds

We provide training programs for M/WBE contractors who do not qualify for security bonds, which may be required from GC’s on larger contracts.

 

Train office staff in insurance policy compliance

Reviews are conducted to ensure compliance with Owner requirements.  SHG also provides seminars to instruct staff on policy requirements.
